Fifty years and never come to the police attention for committing even the most minor of traffic offences, its not him I am scared of, its the ones with bad attitudes that scare me.

He may be quite a good driver even though he slipped through a stop sign. He is 67 & I've seen a lot worse than that. People with licences vary from considerate & careful to just completely stupid.

On another note, my brother in law was teaching my niece to drive last week & she panicked so he yanked the steering wheel & they totaled her sisters car into a power pole. Now there's a good start to her driving career.

Id take an unlicenced 67 year old with a good record over a licensed 16y/o in a commodore anyday. Goes to show, licensing and registration arent the be-all-and-end-all. The motorists push to get bikes registered/licensed is to go with their own sense of entitledment to the road.

I don't thinks its so bad have a zero limit, personally as a non drinker I would be happy with a total 0% limit on all motor vehicle drivers.

I enjoy my beverages but I am with you on the 0%, just don't do it!!!!!!! Having a 0.5% limit seems as though it tempts fate which may lead to a bad situation. They have 0% for professional drivers, why not everyone.

It seems these types of stories never tell the whole story though. They talk about soaring numbers and 22% of deaths but then don't show the link to alcohol. Are we to assume that the majority of the motorcycle drivers involved had alcohol in there systems? Also I like the jab at the drivers who cover the number plate when passing a speed camera. I bet you there are heaps of non motobike drivers who would love to do that all the time too.

Yep but that will never happen..

If I ride with people abnd they drink more than one at lunch, I don't ride with them again.. I don't ride if I've had a drink.

That said, where does the line gt drawn.. more pedestrians are injured walking drunk too.. I like the concept that becuase car and bike accident = bad outcome.. then we should regulate the bike more.

This is all kinda off topic and kinda on.. it's the same on pushbikes.. we get hit more and more then we'll need to be more regulated.. the cagers cannont possibly be as mush at fault.. so cycles should have MORE gear,, read Ninja Turtle suits, and rego and zero BAC. that way .. oh hell I don't know..

Oh and covering the number plate..

I'll let you sit on my bike, you twist the throttle open and reach back to cover the number plate with your hand sitting with the bike on a stand.. see if you can get there.. let alone keep control of the bike... I've heard of people bending tir foot back to do it.. but I can't even do it that way..

what a crock..

Well, motorcycles account for 4.5% of the electorate but 22% of the road toll. Sounds like smart politics to me. Its only a 4 year experiment anyway.

Well, suprise suprise.

Was taken out on the way home by a silver mercedes sedan (didnt get the rego). Looked like the current series, and he'll have scratches down the left hand side of his car from me. Prick just got impatient, pushed up next to me, then literally pushed me into the gutter. Luckily just a blown front tyre and front rim scratched up, sti lever scratched up etc. Landed on my hip and shoulder, and theyre gonna be sore tomorrow.

Driver didnt stop - and for that matter, neither did any other driver.

If anyone see's a scratched up silver merc, PM me a rego, and Ill send the lads 'round.

Gailey Rd just after the St Lucia turnoff (Sir Fred Schonnell Drv). He'll have scratches from his rear leftside passenger door to the boot.

Cheers.

Man, i'm almost glad to be off the bike at the moment (well not really), that sucks big time, good that you walked away with minor injuries.

About what time of day?

Possibly a regular driver of the area so someone might be able to see the #$#$@#@ again around the same time in the same place.

I'd report it to the police, at least its on record somewhere.
