2010 ay-up dusk til dawn

Anyone heard any news about the course for the dusk til dawn, hope they smooth out some of the rocks from the 24hr, they should make it flow like the first half of the course

I would assume it will be pretty much the same course.

You get used to the rocks, and it's only 12hrs after all.

The rocks are good. that new bit of trail they dug out just before the 24 hour recently needs some work. There are parts of the track near the sand corners that was breaking away down the hill. That needs fixing! I don't know of any expected changes to the course.

This is an awesome course http://www.tailwindpromotions.com.au/pitchblack/course.html

it was only the new sections and the sandy corners after the second set of switch back climbs that need any work.

I think by the time dusk til dawn is on the new sections should be much better. Can't wait to get out there !

Only a few weeks to go! Who's in? I spoke with TWP yesterday. More trail care will be done in the next few weeks leading up to the race to get the course ready for an all night smash session!

Yeah. Russ Worthington and I are teaming up for some training. Burn off that December cheer. I am putting this out there so now we can't back out. Ha

It will be great to catch up with both you & Russ. My suggestion for your team name. "2ToughGuys!"

G'day L_dog, the Racing Stripes team will be there but we'll be aiming at an all night cruise session watching others doing the smash session. See you there.

All good

I am pretty sure the grass across the paddock with the little climb is still there. Will need a good mow after all of the rain & warm weather down there. I like using the grass section to eat & drink

Yeah me too last years 12hr had a long grass section for eating and drinking but at the recent 24/6hr they had cut out most of it and put in a new section, any thoughts

Better qualify that please M D.. Is that so long as there are more than 3 entered in the class? Just outright or overall?

Just thinking back to last years debarcle (IMO) with the ladies being called back up and prizes and awards being re-distributed. I understand there are difficulties in accurately tracking results, have there been improvements made to reduce the errors?

Thanks

Mal
