Music to spin to

Hi Guys,

Just looking for some advice on what to listen to while spinning and in the zone. I am not really into the AC DC type of stuff, more stuff with a real fast beat to keep me working hard. If anyone can recommend some comilations on the market, that would be good.

Cheers

Music to spin to? You could try Bros, George Micheal, Queen...Adam Lambert perhaps? The sound track from Twightlight?

Them Crooked Vultures. Best album for 20 years. Trio of legends producing good rocking music with some decent musicianship

John Paul Jones - Zepp

Dave Grohl - Nirvana, Foo Fighters

Josh Homme - Queens of the Stone Age

Guard your MP3 once you get your soundtrack sorted Questeds- my daughters sabotaged my iPod prior to Epic 2008 and loaded ABBA Gold.

Gives you a bit of a "WTF?!" moment while you're in the middle of a race.

+1 to that!

Here I am riding along and all of a sudden I realise that my wife's meditation music (which she bought to help her try and relax during childbirth) was playing. Not bad to chill to but not very good motivational music for bike riding. Definitely a WTF moment.

ADO, you left your Bronski Beat Cassete in the my car!

Washed IPOD in the Camelbak after Insomnia....came good after 2 days drying out!

Music recomendations(a) Queens of the Stoneage "know one knows"

(b) M83 "don't save us from the flames"

(c) Ride "leave them all behind"

(d) Pollyanna "potomac" then "big bully"

(e) Swervedriver "never loose that felling"

You need music with a 4/4 beat or that peaks surges and then goes into waves of overdrive!

Lol. Nothing worse - my iPOD plays lectures which brings you to a grinding halt.

Muse is my current riding music, turns out they've been around a while - but even this has a few slow songs which pulled me up the first time.

Band Of Horses - The Funeral (good downhill song where I pretend I'm the XC Danny McAskill)

I would recommend some classical music. I'm slowly switching over to classical music when doing any kind of exercise, particularly violin concertos. Find that they keep me more motivated than a fast paced rock/dance/pop song. It's also less intrusive on the mind and kinda peaceful without slowing me down.

I have next to zero classical music knowledge, but tuned in to ABC CLassic one day, and really enjoyed Mozart's Violin Concerto No.4 Have had this on almost every ride since.

Ahh another new World Disorder fan I see!

I do that alot. MTB DVD's have good soundtracks, and sometimes a song come on that reminds you of some awesome trail or trick someone was doing at the time, and you end up smashing it.

I find Faith No More very motivational during spin sessions on my wind trainer. Most songs from King for a Day and or Angel Dust keep the legs pumping.
