yeah thanks everyone. something different and even though it was flat it was still a hard ride.

Zep, you might want to reset you elevation, cant remember going below sea level today (min elevation of -10m)

I think that's why they call it the Boondal wet lands ? Possibly could have been the bottom of dam loop when I did a massive G-out & the GPS thought I was going underground ?

Thought I'd get in early & suggest we do the Dirt Dogs Glasshouse mountains ride. Would be a good ride 1 week out from the Epic as there are heaps of open fire roads with gentle undulations around the Glasshouse area much like the roads in the Epic. Seems we have covered all aspects of the race now/ mega hills/ rocks & creeks/ flat fast Tarmac/ cool mornings, but not any heat sapping rides. Let's hope we don't get a repeat performance from Mother nature with a freak 38 degree day.

Glasshouse Dirt Dogs ride below for those interested or we can hit the bike path again mtb

OK we're back after the Epic. There were some great times posted. Jimbo & Darb especially in their first Epic. Sub 3hr for Darb in the 50 & way under 8hrs for Jimbo in the 100. Amazing results. Shifty did a sub 6hr in the 100 hailr & Squirrel was on the podium second 2nd in the 40-49 age group. I had a blast thanks everyone for making these rides happen.

Sunday the 29th of August.

The Boonah marathon (September 26th) is 5 weeks away, so we can fit 4 Sunday rides in between now & then.Boonah is either 80km (2000m of ascent) or 50km with similar terrain to the Epic so I think the rides we've been doing are just right. We haven't been to the Nebo Cafe in a while so thought we could head that way.

Link to the Boonah Marathon (TWP) site below.

Is anybody keen to cut the ride a little shorter than planned dropping off the Creek/ Augies & PEI section bringing the ride back to about 40-50km ?

We have 2 new 12 week old Labradoodle puppies & would like to be home about 11- 12am if possible ? Not that important though, just thought I'd put it out there. If you're still keen for 75km then you could always venture up the hill on your own or finish off with 20km in Bunya.

Meet Ian & Fiona

Dont really mind which option you choose. I'm riding in from Mt Gravatt on Sunday and will meet you guys somewhere along Center Road around 7.30ish.

I've got your number if i get lost or dont make it!

I will also turn around at the Cafe and head back down Sth Boundary to ride home.

Looking forward to it!

Perfect day for a ride today. Reminded me of the weather for last weeks Epic, a bit cool in the morning with a moderate midday temperature.

We did a tad further than planned with 62km & 1500m of ascent.Oh well readit read the waiver searchme I'm within the parameters.

Good to see a few familiar faces on Southboundary with one rider we know on top of a new Ti Erikson dream machine. Then a big group at the Nebo cafe.
