Sunday morning suffer fest

Should be able to make this ride. My lower back has been pretty bad after the Epic so I may have to bail out early. I think I am ready for a dually!

Sunday morning suffer fest

Normally I'd be all tough & say we'll ride in any conditions, but cause we have 2 very young puppies (12 weeks old) I don't want to leave them unattended during their first experience with mother nature.

Keep an eye on here at 5am & I'll see how the weather is looking. I just had a peak at the radar & there is a massive heavy rain mass heading our way from down south. The forecast is for developing heavy showers as the day progresses.

I will have to pull the pin on this one. Turns out I have a herniated disc in my back so a bit less time on the bike is needed. Hopefully will be able to do Boonah and Karingal but will have to wait and see.

The ground outside is wet, but it isn't currently raining.

I'm not a big fan of cancelling rides as I've found in the past you find yourself sitting at home watching the sun shine wondering why on earth you aren't out riding. If the group were a lot bigger I would go regardless, but as there is only 4 possibly 5 of us (Jimbo) it is easier to cancel the ride.

Any thoughts you two, due to the fact you're both facing a 45 minute drive ?

That's a good idea thanks Gaz. I'm calling the ride off , as I don't think Robo would be feeling too confident riding in the wet on his return to the dirt only 5 weeks from the collar bone break.

Will send text messages to Robbo & Jimbo. Hope I wake them up hihihihi

If the weather suddenly fines up we will plan an afternoon ride finishing off with the Sunday arvo cruise. I'd be looking at leaving Bunya about 1pm & doing a Camp Mountain loop (about 35km)followed by the arvo cruise making a total of 50km. Or if anybody's keen we can do an indoor spin session here later today ?

Looks like a good day to make our return to the pool after 12 months on dry land groan

Yeah wouldn't you bloody know it. We don't go & it hasn't rained since 6am 09slaphead

That's why I rarely cancel rides 09naughty

We're now in the middle of painting doors, walls, skirting & fitting locks. Will let you know Darb depending if it's p#ssing down by then or we've had enough of this reno crap.

We're on a bit of a roll ATM.

Just been informed from the door frame painter it's starting to rain. I'd like to do this weeks ride plan next week if that's ok. It'll be one of the best ride routes we've attempted in a while starting off steep & hard then finishing on a down hill run to the Nebo cafe & the Samford patisserie mmmmm drooldrool

Have a look at the BOM radar. Holy crap there is a massive storm cell heading our way in about 1hr. It looks like it will rain for at least 2hrs & very heavy at that.

definitely not going out in that.
