Well. Take it from an old fart like me. It's not where you ride but who you ride with. I've ridden lots of places around the globe and plenty of good spots too. But my best memories are right here in Qld with the friends I've made through MTB Dirt. I won't wax lyrical for any longer save a few of my favourite Qld rides with my mates from MTB Dirt.
1. Queen Mary Falls and Koorelah NP
2. Beautiful Betsy B-24D Liberator bomber
3. Bunya Mtns to Linville including Emu Creek & Rohlmans Rd
4. Nanango to Yarraman via 7 Mile Diggings
5. Nth Straddie via Eastern Escarpment
6. Brisbane Forest Park- various including access via Camp Mtn and the ride down Centre Rd
7. Stanthorpe and associated National Parks
8. Noosa Enduro 100klm route.

Living in Brisbane - Staples: Coot-tha, daisy hill, karawatha, toohey forest, bunyaville.
Favourites a little further a field: Parklands, Nerang, OHV, Wyaralong (soon), Tewantin,
Bear in mind though that all these I've listed are predominantly singletrack destinations, as in more than 75%. I haven't heard of most of the ten listed above by Groundhog, but I'd be very interested to hear what proportion of the riding is on singletrack compared to fire roads/4wd tracks. If it's singletrack, I'd love more details on how to find them.
