Ah yes, this was the first time the cameraman had a video strapped to his chest and there could be a lot done to improve the footage.

Ah well, hopefully gives you a feel for what is out there!

Maybe one day soon will get out and do the filming again and may try the crutchcam option.

Expecting a 3d flyover and 2d map of the track to be ready in the next few days.

Hey Owen,

Great footage of the track for the 4hr. Fantastic angle from the chest-cam. I guess because the tracks are fairly familiar to me that I didn't find a problem with the view.

Excellent choice of route: great length, lots of singletrack, plenty of firetrail for spectators / refuelling / overtaking / catching your breath! and I think the pretty section around the dams is great. Should be an awesome event.

Shame I still can't find anyone to do my on-call for me at work. I'm going to try my hardest to get it swapped now, because I really want to be there! Geoff

how often do they hold this event would love to give it a go but this year isnt an option but next event would be on the cards

Thats the way teams racing is run. Just up to the team how they run the race. Usually lap about but there is nothing stoping each person doing multiple laps before handing over to the next person.

Woo hoo!!

I've managed to swap my on-call for Sunday, so I'm there.

Only problem is. I'm still on-call for Fri/Sat, so my performance on the day will be closely related to how much prior sleep I've had. Anyhow, I'm still going to turn up and have fun - which is what it's all about really isn't it?

Have just uploaded more info to the club website including some more details ofthe track.

Over $5000 in prizes and a Giant Talon 3 random prize for race entrants.

Have introduced a "Social" category for those who are not training to jump on the podium this year. The Social category won't have prizes for winners but "social" participants will be in the running to win plenty of random prizes. This category open to all! Come along and have a go.

Of course there will also be competitive classes: Solo Male, Solo Female, Solo male 40+, single speed, Team of 2 male, team of 2 female, team of 2 mixed and team of 2 Teen. The latter is also something new with combined age of the team being 38 or less. There will be a handicap headstart for teams with combined ages less than 38. So two 15y.o. might get a 4 lap headstart (details to be confirmed!!).

Will be great to see a good turnout on the day.
