Bunya Sunday Arvo Cruise

Bewdy!arana_mtber, probably the best spot to meet us will be around the bee hives right where the pink trail meets the Jinker Track just to the right of the James Drysdale Recreational Reserve on the map at http://www.ozcableguy.com/bunyaroute1.jpg . We cross the road at the point and then disappear offroad on the other side so you might miss us if you were down at the Baseball carpark. We usually pass that point sometime around 3.20 & 3.30 and I'll be in my usual fluoro green workwear shirt.Other meeting spots are the top of ZigZag or where the track passes the water fountain at the end of Tinaroo Ct.

hmmmmm........just staring at, and finger poking at a seized and formerly free-wheel rear hub has failed to fix the problem stupid ....son's cassette is 7 cogs and mine is 8 so I'm not sure I can simply whack his back wheel on my bike. tsktskWith reluctant approval from the 10 year old donor (and a guarantee I won't crash) I will be riding a small frame MTB with candys and an extended seat post.....and a red honker horn. getdown......and you thought having forks pointing the wrong way looked funny..... oopssee ya tomorrow thumbsup4

8spd and 7spd are compatible, they use the same indexing. so his 7spd wheel will work on your 8spd shifters. What you need to do is adjust the barrel adjusters at the drailleur and/or shifters so that you get a clear gear selection, just means you'll be using either 2-8 or 1-7 on the shifter. it can be done I put my old 8spd shifters on my daughters bike no issues, her hub is 7spd.

Another great social cruise, although not ending the weekend with this one, it is a great way to cap off a Sunday. With 80kms in my legs from my Sunday road ride made the initial parts of today difficult, but once the legs warmed up, it was great. Good to see the paparazzi out in BSF today, hope the photos are to your liking today MA. hmmSee everyone in about 3 weeks, next week my first MTBO at Mt Googa, then Insomnia the week after. thumbsup4

Thanks OCG for hosting another fun ride. thumbsup4What a line-up: OCG, Ox, MA, LeAngel, banger, bunyip, Redmer, Sharon, Stuart, Arana_mtber, CannonDave and me = 12 riders parking all over the bike paths. fightOur resident trauma surgeon was not with us, but we had our own paparazzi this time.....popping up all over the place. On one occasion I had to decide what to slam into - the photographer or the tree. I chose the tree (this time). No takers for the Blood Loss Award...... 1st but Banger is in trouble with the anti-discrimination board for referring to my riding ability in gender terms. tsktsksee you next time waveyChris

That was some little workout 8O I spent the whole ride sprinting for the next spot to take photos ... yes ... that very slow moving blob ahead was me sprinting oopsPuncturing didn't help either. groanEnjoyed the ride and company ... a really nice cruisey bunch of riders who kept things rolling along.Anyway ... got a few reasonable shots ... got a long way to go before I'm happy with my work and skill with the new camera though.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageanother lot coming ...

Yes, great shots MA - captures the flavour of this group: lots of smiles and wheels on the ground.....I'm sorry but no amount of adobe photoshop can fix up my head boohoo .Bunyip, your knees look gravel rashed.....was there any blood loss? hmm We do have a trophy to give away....
