His forks will explode from a lack of servicing and he'll be the first person in EE history to ride it up and hike it down.

If I am loitering at the bottom of Stupidly Happy at 5:30am, can I tag along? Geoff, I think you have my number, so I will have my phone. Just in case.

Yep. No problem Dave. I'll have to watch the ride time though. If it looks like I won't make it back in time, I'll have to bail early.

Thanks Dave and Darren for the ride this morning.09thumbup

Having had over a week off riding, I guess my legs weren't really up to 'hammering' at all. I think I really hurt myself on the EE climb today. Worst of all I got busy at work and missed breakfast - BIG mistake. Now my legs feel like jelly. Darren, I think I might pass on the group road ride offer tomorrow if that's ok - thanks.

Yes. Thanks for the ride guys. That was certainly a fast paced ride. I am showing just over 15km/h average so not surprised you can feel it Geoff. Happy with the EE effort today. Haven't gone that well on it for 12 months.

I put together a stop motion movie from this mornings ride. It is in the usual spot or here. I have the stills if you would like any particular one (of about 1200!).

Enjoyed the ride today guys. Nice shooting on the GoPro Dave, I don't know how Spielberg would go shooting, directing and and nearly taming the EE all at the same time!

No worries about tomorrow Geoff, always next week.

Have a good weekend.

Hey Dave, I'll be keen to head out. If DrGeoff is riding I can be at the top carpark at 5AM and the bottom of Stupidly Happy at 5:30.

If he isn't riding I can aim to be at the step over at Leo Lindo End of Nirvana at 5:30 or 6 and meet you there or in Cornubia, whatever suits.

Earlier is better for me Floody, but 6 at the bottom of SH would be ok. Let me know what suits you as I don't have far to travel. thumbsup

No worries Floody.

I had one other taker and we almost needed arm warmers this morning! It was very pleasant.

I've been off the mtb for months cause of an injury, went for an EE ride on saturday and when i was at the bottom of cornubia forest i noticed the trail that runs from behind the houses on parkview crescent had a lot of fallen trees placed across the track entrance. Is this one now closed? is there another way through to west mt cotton road? I am aware of lots of trail work being done in the forest but haven't ridden anywhere on dirt for over 6 months and wanted to know if there was another way through. Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Shaff

I have not ridden that trail for a few months but it isn't officially closed yet. We will be building a new trail to WMC rd, but that will be next year at the earliest. I would guess that some of the residents did that. They tend to dump their cuttings in that piece of bush and maybe that is what has been done. Feel free to clear it and keep the trail open, as long as it isn't a new trail.

I will have a look on thursday, but I hope this helps.
