2thumbsup

Nice gentle spin, mix of singletrack and less challenging trails, but just enough water & mud to upset my temperamental drive train again. After I've cleaned it up its back to the shop for the Haro.

Chain suck sucks. thumbsdown

What chain lube are you using Andrew?

EDIT: I ask because when I used a Wax Lube - I was getting chain suck in dry too. I was using Rock and Roll Extreme, so I switched to using 'Gold' which gave me the same outcome.

I gave up and went back to using a wet lube (Finish Line - Green). Have not had chain suck probs since.

ProLink ... which is probly a bit too light for mtbing, maybe?

I use it on the road bike, where its just great. And for most of the year when its dry, its been really good on the mtb. No build-up on the chain.

But in wetter conditions, combined with the fact that the drivetrain is simply getting a bit worn, its probably not up to the job.

Thanks for showing us around Bruce. Good luck tracking down the noise.

Finally got a chance to hear the tails of Mebbin and the Ottway.

Here's a map of this morning's route. Wednesday ride

If anyone else has GPS files of Kawaratha, please PM me. I'd like to combine them to get a map of the trails.

If Logan Hospital was in the city, then I'd be there with bells on.

I might have to ask for this day off next year to join in the fun. Happy Riding!

Sounds like Daisy is still a bit of a mud fest. I think I'll head to Karawatha tomorrow via the Acacia Rd entrance. 6 AM for anyone who is interested.

Sorry Darren. Would love to do Karawatha with you tomorrow, but too many late nights are taking their toll. Forecast for Sunday looks ghastly but I might still see you for the cheqflagTrophycheqflag ???

Well I saw Rich, Geoff, and Emma. Didn't see you Dave?

Also saw Kenzo, Oppy, Gazmann, & Gillian from the mtbdirt community.

But the big winner on the day was chickendrinker, now the proud owner of a Crumpler bag. It pays to hang around with Jody, he always scores the good stuff at these events!

Dance

Get well soon ODGaz!
