Trails - Scribbly Gum Conservation Area
Scribbly Gum Conservation Area
Located in between Cleveland and Alexandra Hills this area is most commonly accessed from Weippin St Cleveland but is also accessible from South St and Coburg St Cleveland or McDonald Rd, Winchester Rd, Vienna Rd, Hanover Dr and Teesdale Rd in Alexandra Hills.
Scribbly Gum is the name of the reserve near Vienna Road but everything on the western side of Hilliards Creek is referred to as the Cleveland Mountain Bike Park.
All trails are maintained by RCC Fire Management and a volunteer group called Mountain Bike Bush Care. Ring Indigiscapes on 07 3824 8611 for more info about volunteering with Mountain Bike Bush Care.
Half of the gates are permanently locked but don’t be afraid to pick up the bike and throw it over, bikes and bush walkers are most welcome anywhere you see the friendly Redlands City Council Parks and Conservation signs.
In the centre of the green space is the Cleveland Sewage Treatment Plant which separates the well used northern part from the neglected southern tracks. The Sewage Treatment Plant is private property so stick to the official tracks only.
Scribbly Gum also includes a designation for a future transport corridor connecting Wellington St Cleveland to Moreton Bay Rd Capalaba. The exact manner in which this Corridor will be utilised (transport, green space or trails) has not yet been decided.
Access Via: cnr of MacDonald and Flinders St, Alexandra Hills. Dirt parking on inside of corner and forest access directly opposite.
