Location / Trail Head - There several places you can park and enter the park but perhaps the easiest place is next to the big towers on Fernleigh Loop on the corner of the Pacific Hwy. Just through the gate is the MTB Park info and map.
The Trails - Glenrock is a mixture of medium to advanced XC trails in both technical features and steepness of terrain. Although no official DH run are present, the semi DH/GE riders still have a couple of trails they frequent.
Apparently, until 2009, the trails here were not legal to ride on, but have since been sanctioned for mountain biking, and recently the trail building organisation has lifted to new heights. There are still loads of still ungroomed trails to enjoy here as well though.
Using the natural rock formations, the builders have created a thrilling network of tight and technical trails, fast and flowing trails, switchbacking climbs, jump trails, and even some relaxing meandering trails through Bellbird song filled, ferned lined bush, and beautiful seaside views.
A reasonable state of fitness is necessary here if you want to cover decent k's or time on the bike without constant rests or walking, but if you have that and the skills, this is a great place to ride.
